Hellas on screen, la Antigua Grecia en el cine

He tenido el honor y el gusto de participar en un volumen colectivo titulado Hellas on screen en el que especialistas de todo el mundo han escrito sobre la recepción de la cultura de la Grecia Antigua en el cine viendo de qué modo el mito, la épica, la tragedia y la historia de Grecia han pasado a la pantalla. Mi contribución ha sido sobre la película El León de Esparta (1962) y su visión de la antigua Esparta. El volumen ha sido editado en inglés para hacer más fácil su segura repercusión internacional.

The recent success of Hollywood blockbusters such as Troy, Alexander and 300 demonstrates how popular Greek antiquity still is and how well it can be marketed.
